He returns from the future in the form of Schmon Schmewart to comfort his past self during the ultimate final battle. It's pretty epic.

A snippet from the fifth season. Stephen is supposedly overseas (actually killed by Murdoxia, though Jon's memory of that is temporarily blocked), and Jon feels particularly lonely after (the travesty that was) the '09 Emmys.

Based loosely on this imageIn the third series (S), Sailor Jon gets the upgrade to Super Sailor Jon, and in the fourth series the rest of the sailors follow suit (no pun intended).
